WHO WE ARE
The Democratic Women's Club of Central Pasco County is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the involvement of women in the political process. Our club provides a platform for women to engage in discussions, advocacy, and activism to support democratic values and policies. We welcome women from all backgrounds and walks of life to join us in our mission to create a more inclusive and equitable society.
At the Democratic Women's Club of Central Pasco County, we are committed to empowering women to participate in local, state, and national politics. Through educational programs, community outreach, and collaboration with other organizations, we strive to enhance the representation and influence of women in decision-making processes. Our goal is to ensure that the voices of women are heard and respected in shaping the future of our community and country.
The Democratic Women’s Club of Central Pasco County (DWCCP) brings like-minded women together to empower voters and make meaningful change in our community. We are dedicated to protecting our democracy and the shared values we care deeply about.
Political Engagement
We focus on educating our community about key issues, increasing voter registration, supporting Democratic candidates, and engaging in legislative advocacy. We participate in grassroots activities such as postcarding, canvassing, phone banking, and peaceful civic action including– rallies, protests, and public policy initiatives.
Civic Engagement
We collaborate with other mission-aligned organizations, while actively participating in local events that celebrate unity, diversity, and community pride including MLK parades, PRIDE (LGBTQ+) festivals, Juneteenth celebrations, Hispanic Heritage events, Veterans tributes, Women's History forums, and Earth Day observances.
Community Service
Empowerment and Celebration of Women
We strive to strengthen our community, uplift vulnerable populations, and support a spirit of compassion and public service. Our members contribute time and resources to a variety of local charities and nonprofit organizations such as food pantries, Title 1 schools, domestic violence shelters, child welfare agencies, veterans services, and animal advocacy organizations.
We promote meaningful connections and sisterhood among like-minded women by creating a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment. We host member socials, fundraising events, book clubs, and holiday celebrations to encourage unity and friendship.
Florida State Affiliation
The DWCCP is a chapter of the Democratic Women's Club of Florida with local clubs throughout 67 counties. Since 1950, DWCF has brought Democratic women together with a common mission and PLATFORM. We believe all women can embrace who they are, can define their future, and change the world.
